Primarily Monday
Author: Raine    Date: 01/28/2019 14:02:42

It's Monday, and after a personally lovely weekend, I'm having a hard time trying to write about the mess our nation is in. Let me give it a shot.

Things are starting to heat up on our side of the aisle with regard to who we may nominate for our Presidential candidate in 2020. Sadly, it looks like it is going to be a brutal primary season. I want good, qualified candidates to discuss ideas and policy. I want our candidates fairly vetted.

When I say fairly vetted, I mean just that. I don't want to hear the trivial bullshit that we have thrust upon people in the past.

I like the people who have already thrown their hat in the ring. There are some I prefer over others, but that is all subject to change. We are in a whole new world now. Things aren't going to be the same.

I want to repeat what I wrote last night.

I'm over rich people (with no experience in political legislation) thinking they can be a better politician than actual politicians.

Politics, like it or not, is built from the bottom up, not the top down.Top-down has us in the mess we are in right now. There is a debate to be had over term restrictions but I want our leaders to have experience in crafting policies and passing legislation.

I want even-keeled thought-provoking leaders back in the White House.

and

Raine

Greetings, comrades.

I think vetting of the democratic candidates will be quite easy. "I'm not Trump". There, you pass.

This happened here in MA a few cycles back. After having put up with Mitt the Twitt, a turnip could have beat him, as long as it had "D-MA" after the name.

Good morning bloggers!!!

My school district called before 5 AM to declare a two-hour delay, so I went back to bed. A little before I had reset the alarm before 7 AM, I got a call that school was canceled due to a snow storm with high winds and poor visibility. So, it is another day of grading papers and setting up some stuff for students to do electronically.

I hope that the Democratic candidates for the party nomination have good debates on the issues.

If it is, we should remember that was a very popular song in the era. I suspect that this was released for political purposes.

I remember. I was sitting outside a college classroom when someone told me about Challenger. I later saw a headline on a screen in the cafeteria. May the memory of the crew of the Challenger be for a blessing. May the continue to inspire us and future generations. Per aspera ad astra.

For the record, I do not believe that Trump is Captain Caveman. One the character is heroic and kind, if not very bright. Secondly, as you can see from this image, he has much better hair than Trump.

The WCPT stream is so distorted it sounds like it is coming in from Tau Ceti.

Whoa.

Breaking news over on the book of face - Paul Rieckhoff is leaving IAVA.

The organization will continue, but it somehow won't be the same. Going to miss seeing him on with Dr. Maddow, but I suspect he'll still be a regular guest, no matter what he does next.

Back to the daily lying ritual. If Sarah is supposed to be a Christian, how does she sleep at night?
