too funny - I loved that show.
That bit was based on a true event; the people at the radio station didn't realize turkeys couldn't fly... :spit:

Oh, speaking of RW radio and "fairness"...I heard an interesting statistic on Ring of Fire last weekend. Stunning, if true.
Mike Papontonio states that for every one minute of liberal talk radio, there are 300 HOURS of right-wing radio aired.
Boggles the mind.

"Happy Holidays" is a cop-out, to my way of thinking.
It's a platitude like "Have a nice day" that you say to be polite. If you really wanted to wish someone a nice holiday, I think you should take a minute to find out which one they celebrate, and act appropriately.

after thinking about it, I can see HRC as SoS... She spent a lot of time talking with foreign dignitaries as First Lady, so she's familiar with the protocol.

Heya Guys,
I went to law school (that's my excuse, anyway :P), but I got a 90.91%, still I think that some of the answers to a few of the latter questions are debatable, depending on your political perspective - I also think that the wording of some of the questions was a skosh confusing. Thanks for boosting my self-esteem for a minute or two

Think HG Wells or Jules Verne - Virctorian/Edwardian era with steampowered technology.
I kinda just started getting into it.

I did read it and yeah I get that Goodwin's not on the up-&-up in this case. But my point is there are blaring cases of conflict of interest all over the place and have been for YEARS, but Grassley goes after a liberal-leaning guy on NPR.

You're right. It's two different situations.
I'm just.... overreacting I suppose. I'm letting those idiots win by letting them get me all angry that they can keep poisoning minds with their hate speech. I'm letting them win by excusing someone's serious misdeeds just because they think like I do, and giving people like Limbaugh a reason to keep doing what he does.
Quote by Raine:
aah yup.
Those mormoms are wacky.
The pressures of the runoff election and the continuing questions about his ties to a large, scandal-scarred sugar company seem to be getting to Sen. Saxby Chambliss.
Asked by a reporter whether a lawsuit involving deaths at an Imperial Sugar plant -- a lawsuit in which Chambliss claims he has senatorial immunity from testifying -- were making his chances at reelection harder, the Georgia Republican responded by knocking away a nearby camera.
