Have you made that leap?




I was among the "early adopters" immediately following the election. I never tweeted much to begin with, but once I heard about the new platform, I was quick to claim the "Trisec" profile.

Of course, I had no idea what to do over there, but over time I have figured out most of what we need. I've had a couple of starter packs, and I've set up or joined several feeds to help get our thoughts out.

I myself was in a starter pack a little more than a week ago, distributed by user "McSpocky". My follower count has quadrupled since then, and I'm seeing that this is a common thing. One user boasts that their starter pack can lead to "10,000 followers!"

But is that a good thing?

I started with less than a hundred. Mostly connections from here, or the few people I knew from the Zuckian Propaganda Site that also made the leap. Through those connections, I had slowly crept up to around 300.

After the Starter Pack inclusion, my number has swelled to almost 2,500 followers. I have no idea who most of these people are, and there's far too many to scroll through and eyeball the profiles, see if they have anything interesting to say, and make sure it's not an "Onlyfans" account.

Again I say, I never tweeted much, so I have no idea if this is good or bad.

This whole thing is starting to strike me as some kind of bizarre, liberal, pissing contest. Are we starting to do exactly what they do to us with this, "owning" the cons?

Oh, yeah - I have THIS MANY followers! I've had SO MANY posts! Look at all the other dittoheads that think EXACTLY the same way I do!

While it's great to interact with like-minded individuals in a generally non-toxic atmosphere, where are we going? Despite my thousands of loyal minions, I get very little interaction. A few posts have been shared or re-posted, but even fewer have any kind of commentary.

Of course, it has been only two months since most of us started the Great Internet Migration, so it may just be that we haven't quite figured out what to do with it yet.
