“We were all involved in the death of John Kennedy. We tolerated hate; we tolerated the sick stimulation of violence in all walks of life; and we tolerated the differential application of law, which said that a man's life was sacred only if we agreed with his views. This may explain the cascading grief that flooded the country in late November. We mourned a man who had become the pride of the nation, but we grieved as well for ourselves because we knew we were sick.”
? Martin Luther King Jr., Why We Can't Wait

"We grieved as well for ourselves because we knew we were sick.

Hello, bloggers.

In the face of adversity, we must show courage, determination, and compassion for ourselves and others.

We must support each other in the years ahead. We must be determined and follow the dictates of our conscience. We must have the courage to say no even if we know that we will be pilloried.

I am well.

Work is going great. I am way ahead of the curve in what I need to do and several people say I have hit the ground running. My team members are praising my work. I am now the case manager for my students.

My brother is healing from a torn meniscus and my sister is recovering from a respiratory infection. My dog Tiny has glaucoma and is blind in his right eye. (He is getting drops and I will get him to a specialist.)

For the most part things are well. I am seeing family and friends. I did not have much problem adapting to the cold and I think that I have adjusted to the time zone change.

So happy to see this, Will.
