When 13 people are killed with a gun all at once, it's a national tragedy. Rightfully so -- it's shocking and horrible. It happened all at once, instead of the usual drip drip drip of death. It's shocking.
As of today,
it is estimated that "roughly 24,680 people have died from guns in the United States since the Newtown shootings." The real tragedy here is that nearly 25 thousand people are dead in the months since the Newtown shooting. When an average of 30 people are killed in 24 hours, that's not a tragedy.
It's just another day in America.
