I am safe and sound in Greenacre city. An easy ride down I-95 in this offseason.
New York in all its wisdom is working on the GWB. It took me an hour to cross Manhattan on what should have been a quiet Saturday.
The weather wasn't doing me any favors, either. I drove into heavy fog back around Hartford, and was in it all the way to Baltimore. So much for seeing anything.
The Beltway was stunningly devoid of traffic, and south of Ricmond was pretty much a ghost town. Although I did drive past a place named 'Varina'. There's a sign that will make you do a double-take.
Today was my `favorite` stretch, through the Carolinas. Where would we be without those marvelous billboards?
