4F Message board problems/IPB free problems.

Four Freedoms Message board is currently experiencing some strangeness. Please post your particular issues here and we will report it as soon as possible to alleviate the problems.

This really sux. I am sorry guys. As soon as I feel good about getting 4F back up, I will do it. (that sounded dirty, didn't it?)
Edit part duex: (10:36 PM, Monday night) IPB free seems to be under attack. (see inside for more details) The 4F message board will remain offline to prevent our members from this vulnerability.
You can contact the staff at our links sections and we will be creating new blog posts as needed until the board is back up.

Liv, Thanks. What you mentioned regarding IE was very helpful. Firefox acting screwy too makes me wonder what is going on with the server. I am very glad that the 4fBlog is on a separate server that the MB.
So here is the sad news...
I decided to take the board offline, until I can figure out what is going on.
Bummer. Big time bummer. I will report info as I get it here.

Why does it seem like only certain message boards have these problems? Like UNN had some server problems and had to move to a new host.

What I do know is that whatever is goign on is not the server's fault nor ours. This is from the outside. Instead of risking our members computers... I am taking the board down.

Evening folks....monitoring from afar. Kinda nice having admins geographically separated...I see what is happing up here, too.

I see other boards on IPB free are having issues as well....
So at least I know that 4F isn't being hacked directly.

I went to IPB free message board, this is what is being said:
this is being caused by the attack/trojan/virus we'll have all righted and fixed soon
So as soon as I know, you will know.

for the record, AS has been previously stated, IPB hs been hacked. We shut the board down to prevent anyone from becoming infected.
Please know that we want you all back... soon and often.
And if anyone ever wants to start a blog of thier own... contact the staff...

Funny cause it is nothing more than an earlier version of the newest of the board software!!!
I think the hackers just come after it cause it is free. IPB actually has some very very good security things going on.
And now I know, having been in the dark when AAP went down... i can see things in a much dif way.
I am trying to be transparent... I took the board down to prevent problems for our members.
I hope that others do as well. But if they don't, I feel good knowing that we did what we could to prevent problems.

I posted an update on the board. The IPBFree.com folks are aware of the problem and trying to resolve it. Disabling javascript might help, but then none of the formatting buttons will work (and will disable the buttons and timezone features here
).

Guys, we are sorry for the board being taken offline. Really I did not want to do that, but it was for the best... I know many of you got the email we sent to members, explainig why.
I hope you all come back to the board. I do. It wasn't you, it was the server..
