AND THE NOMINEES ARE:
White Person
White Person
White Person
White Person
and finally, White Person
No diversity here. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences received the wrath of the Internet on Thursday, Jan. 15, after announcing its nominees for the 2015 Oscars. All 20 nominees in acting categories are white — which makes the pool one of only a few instances of complete lack of diversity in nearly 20 years.

As a bit of a fan of critically acclaimed cinema, I'm quite outraged at the snubbing of The Lego Movie for Best Animated Feature Film.

Okay seriously now.
As a bit of a fan of critically acclaimed cinema, I would rather see nominations and/or awards go to those actors and films that are by and far the best. Now because there's only so much room in a given category there's gonna be snubs, especially in a year when there's so many good films and performances.
I haven't seen a year with this much quality cinema since 2003, so this is one of those years.
That said, Bradley Cooper should not have been nominated for Best Actor and David Oyelowo should have been, simply because his performance in Selma was better than Cooper's performance in American Sniper.

Selma I kind of what to see, just have to get past my dislike of Oprah's acting. American Sniper - nope, refuse. I don't do war movies.

Ehh it's was okay. The screenplay was a little bit whitewashed from the actual story, but hey it's Hollywood. Cooper did a good job with what he was given. I just don't think his work was oscar-worthy.

I've been in that one to get a form - too forever. Then again the one in Manassas isn't much better. DMV is more enjoyable.
