Here we are, the Democrats will maintain the Majority in the Senate and the other party appears to have taken the majority in the House. It's a very small majority.

This means - as in the days of President Obama - we are back to the Grand Obstructionist House. It's going to be two years of angst. While the GOP is measuring the drapes, the Dems are preparing for a lot of changes of their own.

We'll know today what Speaker Pelosi plans to do when the new speaker takes over. We will also know what the future of leadership holds for Steny Hoyer and James Clyburn. All three are stellar leaders and statespeople, but if there is one thing to be gleaned from this election, the radical GOP - excepting a few seats - was all but rejected.

I guess I am wondering, and maybe hoping, that the other side of the aisle will return back to its moderate teabagging days (yes, that is sarcasm), when John Boehner had a steady hand on his caucus.

We've been here before. It's hard to believe that 10 or 12 years ago we thought it was as bad as it could get; how naïve we were in retrospect. As in the past, the only power they have is fear and disinformation. Being in the majority does not make them leaders, as they have previously shown they have no desire to govern. They have said they will not listen to the will of the people. As I said last week, we didn't go over the brink. Now, all we have to do is hold on for two more years.

What I do know is that we are gonna need a totally kick-ass lame-duck session after both chambers return from the Thanksgiving break. As always I want to be proven wrong, but the next two years will be utter chaos. I hope that every day of those two years the electorate and Gen Z are reminded that radicalism must still be voted out of office. The GOP has gerrymandered itself into a corner, and those that did survive this election have a choice to govern or go back home.

Once people learn, they don't forget. Gen Z knows this. They know It's a marathon, not a sprint.

Insist. Persist. Resist.

It looks like Clyburn is stepping back from leadership along with Hoyer.
