Pondering Raine's response last night....
Hate will always be hate. I don't know what I can do to rectify the situation between Brother TriSec and myself. Is it me?, I wonder sometimes. I say without the hint of irony that he's become a known fascist - certainly not involved in any of the more horrific things associated with TFG, but remaining a raging right-wing toolbag nonetheless.
I have written such people out of my life. I do not care to associate with them, and in fact, they are my enemy.
Which complicates matters, since we share the same set of parents - which seems to be the only thing we have in common right now.

BTW, I'll note that today would have been my late mother's 81st birthday.
She was indeed the glue that held us all together. The entire family has considerably balkanized since her passing in 2016.

My mother was the glue as well. We're not so much Balkanized as seeds scattered to the four corners of the earth. When my dad passes, I doubt very much I'll see much of either one of my brothers again
