Sometimes a truth hurts a lot. Harris is not going to be our President. The garbage is going back to the White House. But I am seeing some bullshit excuses as to why. Evidently, the Dems didn't focus enough on the economy and inflation is a big one.
FFS, Dems passed the INFLATION REDUCTIONS ACT!!! I guess that wasn't enough for his voters.
JoJo from Jerz, a political commentator, said it best. I'm not unfriending them, I am muting them, because for the first time in my life, I want to watch them realize the results of what they did, especially the white women who made this happen. I realize now that they are scorpions.

I’m sorry, but I don’t believe any of that, and frankly, I’m not sure you believe it either. Because the truth is that your vote wasn’t about any of that. You voted for the traitorous embodiment of the 7 deadly sins because when it came to casting your ballot for a Black woman, you just couldn’t do it.
And because you like getting away with being your worst self.
And because life is a whole lot easier to stomach when all that has gone wrong for you, is someone else’s fault.

When my sister learned that Harris would replace Biden, she feared that many Americans would not vote for a Black woman. A friend who is a leader of the California Teachers Association and a Democratic Party activist echoed her words last week.
I plan to be civil to my family and friends on the other side of the aisle. Some of my cousins just lost their mother. I have one friend who voted for Trump but his father supported Harris.
Based on listening to top economists, we must presume that Trump will ruin the economy. If there are still elections, the GOP will pay the consequences.
I am concerned that I will soon be living in a red state, although my area is adjacent to Illinois. I can cross the border and commute to work if things get bad. However, we have to act to ensure the rights of others. I fear that we will see a lot of suffering, economic and otherwise, in the next few years.

I got a good quote on a truck and a tow for my car. I am already working on the move.
I have what is likely my last local interview tomorrow. Last week, a friend told me that my old school district's HR department would call soon to set up an interview.
We must find ways to be involved and we can do this regardless of where we live. I will miss California but I am not the only one to leave.
We also must build progressive media platforms When there is time, I would like to see the blog restored to full functionality so that I can see the previews of blog entries on the front. We should also consider what we can do to grow. Over time, a structure tends to grow or decay. Some of you may remember the old Unfiltered News Network site. I warned that we needed to try to grow the site or it would diminish. I was not greeted warmly by my warning. Three years later, the site was shuttered. So, we will have to figure out what we want to be.
