As expected, the shitshow circus has come to Washington DC, and we all know who is the ringmaster. Two days ago, he was sworn in (without touching the Bible held out for him), went to Cap Center for yet another hate-fest, and signed a bunch of executive orders.

The Cap Center fiasco had Elon Musk doing a Nazi salute, which tracks. Carrie Underwood performed, and - as one might expect from an Orange Shitgibbon production - there were technical issues and she had to perform acapella. He also signed one of his executive orders.

So what's in those orders?

• Declared a National Emergency at the southern U.S. border


• Suspended the admittance of refugees


• Prevented 1600 Afghans who were previously allowed to enter the U.S. from doing so


• Attempts to end birthright citizenship. So far, 18 states have sued to prevent this from taking effect, since it's a violation of the 14th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.


• Deregulated oil drilling and "paused" clean energy programs


• Withdrew the U.S. from the Paris Climate Accords and the World Health Organization


• Established a policy to only recognize "male" and "female" genders on all U.S. forms and documents


• Rescinded a Biden provision to allow transgender people to serve in the military


• Dismantled DEI programs


• Order all federal workers to "return to office", and instituted a hiring freeze for the government


• Pardoned the Jan 06 rioters and insurrectionists


• Rescinded a Biden action to lower the cost of prescription drugs for Medicare patients


• Revoked John Boltons security clearance, and had General Milley's portrait removed from the Pentagon


• Created DOGE

This is a very different start to his administration than what we saw last time. He has people that had prepared him to come busting out of the gate. Whether this Festivus-like "vengeance against my enemies" crusade continues remains to be seen. So far, it's both what we expected, and way more than we thought he was capable of.
