In normal times, my essay after a SOTU would be to break down what was said, and what happened during the speech, and commentary on the other party's response. However, this year I just couldn't watch it. I can't stand to see or hear him talk. I'll pass along some media takes on it, though...

Apparently, he thought he was at one of his campaign rallies, because he rambled and rattled his way to for record-breaking length of time (boy, am I glad I skipped it). Here are some takeaways:

He boasted about his exective orders (many of which are already tied up in courts)...
He praised DOGE-bag Elon Musk for DOGE:

He's still got a hard-on (tiny as it may be) for Panana and Greenland.
He claims there may still be a "deal" with Ukraine (everything is a "deal" to him).

There were some other points as well:

Democrats held up signs in protest to certain parts of his speech. Rep Al Green (D-TX) stood up and interrupted the speech until he was removed from the chamber.

He declared a war on "wokeness".

There are other points at the link, but I am already tired of reading about his verbal diarrhea. From what I've seen, that seems to be the case with a LOT of people, and the coverage of the SOTU has been surprisingly skimpy. Perhaps that's indicative of a future disaster for the Sith regime.
