Finally! A state that is brave enough to tell American school children the truth. Let's give Oklahoma (where the wind comes sweeping down the lane) a big hand for teaching the truth! No, not that Columbus didn't discover America. No, not that our ancestors sadistically tortured the natives in order to steal the land they live on. No, I refer to the fact that dinosaurs roamed the Earth with humans.

Remember when you were a child learning the states and each time you got to the wooden puzzle piece of Oklahoma on the USA map, you'd pause and hold the state like a gun and say "bang, bang"? Well, that is kinda what the state is currently doing to the children. Yes, thanks to the heroic efforts of two state legislators, Gus Blackwell and Josh Breechen (both Republican) who introduced House Bill 1674 that would forbid teachers from penalizing students who turn in papers attempting to debunk almost universally accepted scientific theories such as biological evolution and anthropogenic (human-driven) climate change. This includes the FACT that human's rode dinosaurs to and from church, the Walmart and back to church.

According to the bills author, Rep. Blackwell, this is an important step to raise the bar in Oklahoma's education system and to encourage students to critically think thereby making Oklahoma a state known for his higher learning. "A student has the freedom to write a paper that points out that highly complex life may not be explained by chance mutations," he pointed out. Go here to call or write to congratulate him on his courage.

Yes, this is all about freedom. After all, is there any scientific proof that Dino didn't exist with Jesus? Is there any reason to fail a science class in Oklahoma? What causes rain? God is weeping. How does gravity work? Gravity is caused by the devil who is always trying to pull us down to his domain. Does anthropogenic climate change cause animal extinction? No, some animals have become extinct because they fell off the Ark. There is no such thing as man-made climate change. Describe the big bang theory. These nerds live next door to a hot chick and comedy ensues.

Here are some other facts about Oklahoma that should be updated in Wikipedia as soon as possible. After all, we wouldn't want the people of Oklahoma to have some bogus info out there on the interwebs!
State capital is Oklahoma City (they couldn't think of anything original).
Oklahoma state flower is the cactus
State bird is the turkey.
State motto is: Mactaverimus Indi bonum, buddy.
State Dance is the ....... square dance. (Surely you knew that).

Oklahoma is called "the sooner" state because the state is known for a peculiar odor that would repel people from entering the boundaries; many a cowboy would ride in and lament, "I sooner ride into a buffalo dung heap than this shit state".

Oklahoma is the 20th-largest state in the United States, covering an area of 69,898 square miles and is ranked 53 in academic performance in the US.

The state has several times zones, Central, Mountain and 'Bout Noon.

Oklahoma has the largest amount of churches in the US as well as many of the largest in size.

Oklahoma has the largest amount of axe wielding sex criminals.

Dogs in the state must have a permit signed by the cities mayor in order to congregate in groups of three or more on private property.

Oklahoma has more seal hunters than in all of Greenland, though most of them have been out of work for many years, the determined hunters trudge on, searching for seals.

The original state flag was drawing of a man strangling a woman who was stepping on her child while an Indian burned on a stake. It was changed in 1923 to todays current flag of and upside-down pineapple against a red background.

Oklahoma is moving this country forward! Soon, the US will rule the world in brain smartness... thingy. You know that, whats it called... intellijance!
