How many of you remember the movie Protocol? You know the one, Goldie Hawn is a DC cocktail waitress who gets shot in the butt saving a visiting dignitary from an assassination attempt and gets rewarded with a great government job because she is very charming and sweet, if not a bit on the ignorant side. It was one of those little rom/coms from the mid-eighties that despite its wackiness had a good message at the end.
We used to do that, watch the government and our elected offices "like a hawk". Ah, the good old days.
Or what about learning all about how Washington works in Distinguished Gentleman.
Or Wag the Dog, or Bob Roberts, or The American President? What are some other good political comedies that maybe more people should take a look at these days?
