There's been so much going on politically lately that it's hard to pin down one thing. We went from "Biden is decrepit" to "tRump got shot" to the surrealism of the RNC. It's media saturation overload.

During this time, the U.S. has endured one of the hottest summers ever. Here in the DC area, we've had mid 90s consistently for the past several weeks (with overnight lows never dipping below mid 70s). Coincidentally, our A/C has been out this whole time, and we had to buy a couple window units so we could at least sleep and have a reasonably comfortable place in the house to sit and relax.

No both sides don't do it. I watched CBS News this morning interviewing people ('regular people') about the shooting this weekend. Every single one of them, you could tell who was who based upon the clothing they wore, said that the political rhetoric must be toned down from both sides. BULLSHIT.

As some of you may know, our AC has not been working. It started with water collection from the expansion coils triggering a float switch to a cracked collection plan. We've been without AC for a couple weeks now. We ended up buying a couple window units to get us through this heat wave which shows no signs of abating any time soon.

It's not just us, though. All across the country, people are dealing with record temps:

We've all seen the clips.... the Orange Hitler manages to go "off script" at every single one of his 15 minute hate rallies. He's prattled on about sharks and boat batteries, Hannibal Lector, and gods know what else. Who can forget "hamberder", "covfefe", and the battle of 1812 where the "rammed the ramparts" and took over the airports.

He called the Charlottesville, VA Nazis "very fine people".
